About Steve

Steve Fitzmaurice is a Sydney based saxophone and woodwind musician plus arranger and composer, who specialises in the baritone saxophone.

Steve leads his own 9 piece jazz ensemble ‘Mingus Amongst Us’, which plays regularly in jazz clubs and festivals all over Australia. As well as leading this ensemble, he can be found playing in bands such as ‘Cumbia Muffin’, ‘Mucho Mambo’, ‘The Royal River Rats’ and also backing a wide variety of artists including David Campbell, Vikka Bull, Human Nature, James Morrison, and Clayton Doley.

Steve has arranged music for projects lead by groups or artists including David Campbell, Tim Minchin, Darren Percival, Human Nature, and Swing City Big Band to name but a few.
